Bright Night Sky

I am not one to go for a walk after dinner. But today I felt like one and headed to the terrace.
I have seen party lights in the sky before,especially from the MG road side of the city.
But I could not understand what I saw in the skies today, I could not understand it at all.
I live behind leela palace in Bangalore and I was standing on my terrace facing towards the ISRO side of the area.
There were shots of light being focussed into the sky, illuminating the clouds, going really high.
I thought them beautiful so I starting paying attention to them, that is when I got baffled.
They kept coming, they kept covering more and more distance.
They kept changing their intensity, their number, their sequence and sometimes their colour ( white, blue, pink, yellow ).
I tried to identify the area they might be coming from, this is a residential area, and the only institutes of any significance from the area these lights seem to be coming from are either
National Aerospace Laboratory
or
India Space Research Organisation
I am posting some pictures and videos I took , I have a simple Nokia c700 model, did the best I could with the night mode.
These lights really dont seem to be like party lights, they were sequenced, planned and focussed on the skies, sometimes they would blink.
They did not seem to be for show, so what were they for?
Is the ISRO onto some interesting experiment regarding weather change or observing space or communicating with ETs???
I thought this was a cool observation and wanted to share it with you.
