What if you believed
something would happen and you had no doubt that it would.
No doubt at all.
Let's say you jumped
off a mountain, with no doubt in your mind that you will land safely, not even
the slightest doubt. What would happen? Matrix?
Maybe I should find
the answers in the breed of people who practice blind faith, does their faith
always give them the outcomes they want.
Maybe I should
practice blind faith and see if my belief can change my fate. Most likely it
can bend it towards what I want.
In a world where we
do not distinguish a man from a woman let us analyse what is the strength of a
man…
His body?
His intelligence?
His belief?
Let's say you have
to take a jump, from a stone at the edge of a stream to another stone on its
other edge, some 3 feet apart.
Let's say you jump with no doubt, most
likely you will make it, for you have the physical strength and the confidence
to pull it off.
Let's say you jump with some doubt, you
might wobble , but most likely you will make the landing… but your mental
strength is not as strong as your physical.
What we can achieve
is a balance of our mental and physical ability.
Something that seems
easy to do physically can become difficult and next to impossible if you
believe it to be so…
Something that seems
very hard to do physically can become easy if you just believe you can do it…
Like that last lap around the football field, so important to make your body
stronger than what it is today…
Something that seems
easy to do in the mind, can become hard to execute if the body cannot take the
strain… lifting a 100Kilo weight…
A truly ambitious
person will strive for both physical and mental excellence, for, by developing
one and leaving the other starving, he may achieve his goal, but only by
damaging the weaker side of him…
In my musings above,
I have only spoken of the ideal case where mental health comprises intelligence
and confidence.
There are crores of
people where confidence abound yet intelligence is undeveloped… but that is
besides the point and not a point of discussion today, maybe some other day…
